Definition

A flipped classroom is a format where in-class explainer exposition is a small part of the time spent in class (i.e., the synchronous time when the explainer and all the learners are present). Instead, learners may be expected to consume text exposition or video exposition of the class content outside class time. Time in class may be used for a mix of in-class desk work and in-class learner exposition.
